Hey there,
Mandi is a graduate intern earning her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health. She understands that we all must move through some very tricky seasons in life. It is her honor and joy to come alongside individuals on their journey through these challenges, holding space for them exactly as they are in that moment. She believes that these places of transition, grief, and stuck-feelings must first be witnessed and held before they can be processed and transformed.
Aligning deeply with a person centered approach, Mandi believes that individuals have the innate ability to heal and grow when they are in a supportive environment - one defined by acceptance, warmth, empathy and understanding. In her counseling practice, she draws on both her life experience and training in person-centered theory, play therapy, motivational interviewing, and somatic attachment approaches to provide a safe and healing space for individuals of all ages.
Mandi enjoys working with children and supporting their unique development through attunement and play in the therapeutic space. She is passionate about supporting individuals through life transitions such as loss, relocation, birth, grief, betrayal, aging, adolescence, divorce, relationship issues, parenting and identity formation. She also values working with individuals who struggle with a codependent bent as they find their voice and healthy boundaries. Regardless of the reason that may bring a client in for counseling, it is Mandi’s hope that they leave as a more whole and authentic version of themselves.
Mandi is currently earning her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health, specializing in child and adolescent counseling, from Capella University. Graduation expected in December 2026. She is supervised by Alexandra Colangelo, LCPC, NCC. Outside of the therapy room, Mandi spends her free time hanging out with her kids, partner, and friends. She appreciates a good coffee paired with sourdough toast, and thinks a day at the beach is the best kind of self-care.
